Ireland's Gavin Moynihan joined Tuesday's Off the Ball to discuss his recent success of winning a European Tour card for next season.
The Irishman needed a top-25 finish at Q-school to guarantee a Tour card for next season and it came down to the very last putt.
Asked what the whole experience was like, knowing career progression depended on it, he told Joe Molloy: "It's not a great place to be, to be honest, when you think about it, one hole can dictate your whole next year and that was not really based on me per-se but other lads with no category or no status next year so I had a few starts lined-up through my challenger ranking but yeah it's not a nice place to be."
"Yeah the first three or four days I was fine - I just treated it as if I was at normal tournament.
"I got myself into a nice position after four rounds and I just kind of played well on the second last day and held nothing to be honest - I shot one-under and moved back a good few spots.
"Even the last day, I was three-under early to move up to the top-12 but I made a few bogies and then I was outside the cut then so...obviously on the last hole I knew I had to get to 13-under to have any chance.
"I hit a great drive and a nice four-iron to within about twenty-feet on the par-5 and somehow two-putted. I had a two-footer - I was shaking standing over it!"
"Walking up to the putt, I was a bit nervous - I knew I had to (make it) even though it was a two-foot putt - you make it 99 times out of 100 or even 100 out of 100 times. I just knew I'd given myself a chance then.
"Just the wait after that - Christofer Blomstrand had a 25-footer about 40 minutes later to knock all of us (on 13-under) out but thankfully he missed!"
