UFC featherweight contender Frankie Edgar says a big part of Conor McGregor's rise has been his ability to promote.
Edgar was reacting to the UFC featherweight champion's statement in which he confirmed he was not retiring but would focus on fighting rather than the promotional side of things.
While American Edgar appeared to agree with some of McGregor's statement, he questioned one aspect:
"One thing I see he says is that his fighting got him where he is, not his promoting. I kind of disagree with that. You definitely have to be able to fight but his promoting got him where he was," he told BT Sport:
