The first mixed martial arts event scheduled to take place in Ireland after the tragic death of Joao Carvalho was postponed at the last minute on Friday night due to insurance issues.
WCFC 5: Road to Dublin was due to begin in Swords on Friday evening at 5pm, and was called off minutes after it was due to begin. Newstalk Breakfast's Kieran Cuddihy was in the venue when the event was called off.

A statement released by organisers revealed that insurance issues were the reason for the last minute postponement.
"The WCFC Organisers would like to apologise for postponing this evenings event. The adequate public liability insurance was not provided and therefore The Wright Venue, for insurance & legal purposes could not allow this event to go ahead."
The event was scheduled to include a number of amateur and professional fights. Mixed martial arts and K-1 fights were advertised to take place on the card.
Insurance permitting, the rescheduled event will take place next month on May 20th.
