Ireland's Dan Martin has moved up to fifth in the general classification after the fourth stage of the Paris-Nice on Wednesday.
The Quick-Step rider finished a one minute and three seconds down on new yellow and green jersey holder Julian Alaphilippe in today's time trial between Beaujeu and Mont Brouilly.
Martin set a time of 22' 42'' to be 13th fastest in Stage 4 to move up from ninth place overall.
That leaves him one minute and 20 seconds down on the leader overall.
Fellow Irish rider Sam Bennett, who won the third stage on Tuesday, drops to 26th after a disappointing day.
He was ranked 155th for the day in a time of 25'57.
He is now six minutes and 19 seconds off the lead.
Nicolas Roche of the BMC Racing team is further back in 46th place, more than 18 minutes off the lead.
