After his Featherweight title win at the weekend over Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor proclaimed himself to be the best pound-for-pound in the UFC. The organisation published their updated rankings overnight after UFC 194 and the voting panel do not agree with McGregor's claims.
The Dubliner moved up a massive nine places to third but still lags behind the Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson and the former Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.
Former champion and pound-for-pound king Jose Aldo dropped five places to joint sixth after his loss.
It was a weekend of big changes as the new Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold entered the rankings in ninth. The former champion Chris Weidman dropped eight places to 11th.
Despite Frankie Edgar's win over Chad Mendes on Friday night, he has failed to move from second place in the Featherweight rankings. After winning the title at the weekend, McGregor may now be turning his eye to the Lightweight division where the rankings remain the same at the top ahead of Rafael dos Anjos' title defence next weekend against Donald Cerrone.
