Conor McGregor hailed as "an absolute credit to our nation" after meeting a wheelchair-bound fan in Galway

Conor McGregor spent his last weekend in Galway, before travelling to America to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight Championship next month. 

The Notorious was seen in numerous places around the city but he has been hailed as "an absolute credit to our nation" for meeting a fan who is wheelchair bound. 

Sinead McGrath posted a picture of herself and McGregor in Galway. She reveals that she told the Dubliner that she came into the city with her boyfriend, but he was still in the car. "(Conor) linked arms with me and got his security to walk myself and himself to my boyfriends car to take pictures and a chat."

Behind the bravado of McGregor, it's a side that is rarely seen. McGregor-mania took over Galway at the weekend. Thousands from all over Ireland with converge on Las Vegas looking for another dose of it on March 5th.
