Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos have already squared off outside the Octagon

The buildup to Conor McGregor's UFC Lightweight Title fight with Rafael dos Anjos is going to be a short one.

Last night, the UFC announced that the two men will fight in Las Vegas at UFC 197. The March 5th event will also see Holly Holm in action for the first time after she defeated Ronda Rousey in Australia.

One of the main issues with the buildup to McGregor's fight with Jose Aldo was the one-sided verbal battles. Aldo's need for a translator didn't help when the two men were trying to promote the fight.

Luckily for Dana White, the UFC and its fan, there should be no issue putting the two men together in press conferences. At the UFC Go Big event in September, McGregor and dos Anjos traded words ahead of their respective title bouts in December.

At the event, dos Anjos was asked if he would fight McGregor and said it would be delighted to, claiming it would be "easy money". McGregor got the final say when he told the Brazilian he would make him rich.

"Ask yourself truthfully, if Dana rang you and said 'You don't have to fight Cerrone, you can fight McGregor' even though Cerrone was still fit, would you take it? You're damn right you'd take it. Because I'd change your bum life. I can make you rich. I change your bum life."
