Ciara Mageean managed to secure a Top 10 finish in the 1,500 metres at tonight's Diamond League meeting in Rome.
The Co Down native, who reached the semi final heats in the event at the Rio 2016 Olympics, put in a strong showing.
Her 10th place finish in a competitive 1,500 metres was achieved in a time of 4 minutes 4.49 seconds.
That race was won by the Ethiopian born, Alberto Salazar-trained Siffan Hassan in a time of 3 minutes 56.05 seconds.
Winny Chebet of Kenya took second place while Konstanze Klosterhalfen finished third.
