The most famous four-day festival in National Hunt racing gets underway on Tuesday afternoon at Prestbury Park.
The sporting world will set its eyes on Cheltenham for the rest of the week as millions will be won and lost on the festival's races. The culmination will come on Friday afternoon at 3.30pm when the Gold Cup gets underway.

88: Friday's race will be the 88th running of the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
28: Seven races will take place on each of the four days of the festival, totalling 28 races. Friday's Gold Cup is the 25th race of the Festival.

8: The amount of horses, trained by Willie Mullins who won at the 2015 festival. Mullins' horses dominated the festival, including a top-three in the Champion Hurdle.
7: In 2009, Ruby Walsh rode seven winners at the festival including Gold Cup winner Kauto Star. Walsh has been the top jockey at the festival for nine of the past 12 years.
4: On the four days of the festival, there is one feature face each day. The Champion Hurdle (Tuesday). The Queen Mother Champion Chase (Wednesday), The World Hurdle (Thursday), The Gold Cup (Friday).
2: Two-time Olympic champion Victoria Pendelton has swapped the saddle of a bike for a saddle on a horse. She competes in Friday's Foxhunter Chase.
