Carl Frampton is to return to the ring this summer.
'The Jackal' will fight Mexico's Andres Gutierrez in Belfast's SSE Arena on July 29th. The bout will count as a WBC Featherweight Title Eliminator.
Frampton has not fought since he lost his WBA (Super) Featherweight Title to Leo Santa Cruz in Las Vegas in January. It was the first loss of Frampton's career.

The fight will be Frampton's first in Belfast in over two years. In 2015, he defeated Chris Avalos in the Odyssey Arena and has fought four further times since.
If Frampton were to defeat Gutierrez (whose current record is 35-1-1 25KO), he would be the mandatory challenger to face America's Gary Russell Jr. for the WBC Title.
Russell has only lost once in his 29 professional fights. In 2016, he defended his title against Dublin fighter Patrick Hyland.
