Conor McGregor announced that he would return to the card for UFC 200 via Twitter this morning.
The featherweight champion was pulled from the card after failing to honour his media obligations and had what appeared to be a public falling out with UFC president Dana White.
Happy to announce that I am BACK on UFC 200!
Shout out to @danawhite and @lorenzofertitta on getting this one done for the fans. #Respect— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 25, 2016
However, there has been no official confirmation from the UFC, Lorenzo Fertitta or from Dana White about the event.
McGregor had been scheduled to fight Nate Diaz after his shock defeat to the Stockton fighter at UFC 196.
McGregor claims that the main event will remain intact, after talk that his matchup against Diaz would be replaced by Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones for the light heavyweight unification title fight.
