Boxing champion Tyson Fury slates Conor McGregor for tapping out at UFC 196

Back in December, Tyson Fury accused Conor McGregor of imitating his fighting style and now the Gypsy King is launching another scathing attack at the UFC champion following his second round defeat against Nate Diaz.

After the Crumlin man's disappointing outcome in Las Vegas, Fury took a direct hit at his decision to tap-out rather than take the comparably more dangerous route of enduring the rear naked choke until he was rendered unconscious.

Fury has previously made statements which undermine Mixed Martial Arts. Speaking on the MMA Hour last year, he said:

''I think MMA is for people who can't box, basically. Anything that's stand-up, one-on-one combat, for me, I'm into. As soon as they start going up and down the floor and scoring points - not too sure how it works - but what I see, I'm not really too interested in.

''Sometimes they can stay on the floor quite a while before the referee says gets up before anything is going on. I just like to see the strikes getting blowed: punches, kicks, knees, whatever you like. All stand-up action.''

However, despite the disdain he holds for the sport, Fury also admitted that he was involved in talks with Bellator MMA in relation to a fight with 'hybrid-rules' against UFC Heavyweight Cain Velasquez.
