Andy Murray has booked his place into the fourth round of the French Open, following a straight sets victory over Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro.
The reigning Wimbledon champion took just under three hours to secure the 7-6 (10-8), 7-5, 6-0 victory and keep his bid for a first Roland Garros title alive.
The pair met in some stirring contests last year, with Murray edging out their battle in the final of the Rio Olympics, while del Potro won their encounter in the Davis Cup semi-finals.
The Argentine suffered a groin injury in the last round, and Murray tested him in the early stages of the match. Del Potro was seen hunched over the net today during much of the changeover.
30-year-old Murray will now go on to contest for a place in the quarter-finals against either John Isner or Karen Khachanov of Russia.
