Andy Lee says Tyson Fury needs to be smarter about how he speaks to the media as the world heavyweight champion comes under fire - and an investigation - for controversial remarks he has made.
WBO middleweight champ, Lee, was speaking to Sky Sports ahead of his own fight against Billy Joe Saunders when the subject of his cousin Fury was brought up.
"He said he would be the most outspoken and controversial heavyweight since Muhammad Ali and he's certainly proved true to his word. He says he's not going to change because he's become world heavyweight champion," said Lee.
"But I think he can be a bit smarter and protect himself a bit more. He is the heavyweight champion of the world and maybe he needs someone to work in PR for him and create a barrier because he seems to be exposed to these journalists who can take advantage of things he might say and paint him how they want. I think he should be a bit smarter and be careful of who he invites into his world. But in saying that, you have to be careful in what you say."
