Andy Lee thinks Saunders has changed his confrontational style because he knows he is going to get beaten

Andy Lee's WBO Middleweight title defence against Billy Joe Saunders will take place on Saturday night in Manchester at the third time of asking.

The first and second scheduled fights were cancelled due to sickness and injuries for Lee and Saunders, respectively, but the bout for the WBO title is finally going to happen as Lee discusses the fight with Ger tonight on Off The Ball.

Saunders, who is known to be quite the talker, has changed his tact and Lee thinks he knows why.

"He has changed his approach, he has been very respectful to me in any media workouts or press conferences or interactions we have had together. Maybe that's because he knows he's in a real fight and there's a very good chance he is going to lose."

Lee continues, "He doesn't want to set himself up for a fall when I beat him."

In terms of training, Lee says he has been working on a few different angles in order to beat the England born fighter and has made a few observations, "he's a very busy fighter," the Irish fighter said.

"He always has to be doing something like letting his hands go. I've been working on using that against him in terms of countering him when he comes in and meeting him with punches."

"With my height and reach, I won't have to work for it because he will have to come to me."

Lee admits that he is not on home soil and concedes the fact that it is Saunders' promotion, which could make it an explosive, entertaining bout, but either way, the WBO Middleweight Champion sounded breezy and confident just three days out from the fight.
