WATCH: Emotions run high as Harte & Morgan celebrate Tyrone win

Peter Harte displayed what an All-Ireland final win against Mayo meant for Tyrone GAA.

Speaking in the direct aftermath of Tyrone's All-Ireland final win on Saturday evening in Croke Park, Peter Harte couldn't quite grasp what he and his teammates had achieved.

"Unbelievable," Harte explained, mere minutes after the final whistle had blown. "Everyone says it but when you finally get here it is very, very hard to put into words.

"A lot of years, a lot of work from unbelievable legends of Tyrone football the whole way from Mickey (Harte), Tony Donnelly, Fergal McCann, Lord rest him, they put in the work.

"And then these men came along this year and it has just been one mission."

Winners on a 2-14 to 0-15 score-line in Croke Park this afternoon, Harte went on to consider his own personal journey to this point with Tyrone.

"There's massive belief in Tyrone," he insisted, shooing off the suggestion that they doubted their ability to achieve such a feat.

"Every year, players, fans, families just know... we just want to continue that and stay at the top table. Every year you have that belief, but to finally get there is unbelievable."
