"They're not thinking about five-in-a-row" - Eamon Fennell on Dubs' senior players

Eamon Fennell believes that the Dublin senior football team will be grounded by their senior players, as the Dubs prepare to win their fifth All-Ireland title in a row this weekend.

The Dubs face Kerry on Sunday, and Eamon Fennell believes it is the more experienced heads in the dressing room that will ground the younger players.

"Look at Flynner [Paul Flynn], he made a big call after playing Cavan in the last game of the National League. He didn't have a great game that day, and then he had a long wait until the start of the Championship - and it played on his mind.

"He wasn't thinking of five-in-a-row and hanging around for a medal. And he has been an unbelievable - possibly the best - servant of Dublin in the last five years.

"They are your leaders. They are the ones that you want talking in the dressing room. The likes of him, Stephen [Cluxton], the likes of Bernard [Brogan] that have been around.

"They are not talking about five-in-a-row. They are talking about driving the team on. And if Flynner couldn't put himself in a position to drive the man who had his jersey, he knew that he wouldn't be able to make a difference and it would affect Dublin at some stage.

"So it's not about the glory of the five-in-a-row, that all comes afterwards. From Dublin's collective at the moment, it's a far bigger thing."
