Lee Keegan has posted a message to Mayo fans on Twitter after the heartbreak of another All-Ireland football final loss for the county.
Keegan had been under plenty of scrutiny ahead of the final regarding his approach to marking Diarmuid Connolly and ultimately received a black card in Saturday's replay for a challenge on the same player.
His manager Stephen Rochford felt there had been an "agenda" against Keegan in the build-up.
In his Twitter message, Keegan praised Dublin as a "supreme outfit".
But he also spoke of his sadness at being unable to bring Sam Maguire home to Mayo, saying that there will be a "couple of months of soul searching".
