In an interview with Sky Sports Italia, Paul Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, has insisted that the French midfielder will be staying at Old Trafford this summer.
While Leicester City's drop in form was definitely a reason why Manchester United secured Champions League football for next season, the resurgent form of Paul Pogba was also key.
Since returning to the club from Juventus, the World Cup winner has struggled for consistency but when Pogba's on form, United are immeasurably better.
The addition of Bruno Fernandes in January has also had an impact on Pogba's form as the duo have formed an impressive midfield partnership.
However, question marks frequently remain on Pogba's future but Raiola insists that the Frenchman will not be moving this summer and that talks on a new contract will start soon.
Pogba's current deal at Old Trafford expires next summer, but United have the option to extend it by a year.
“Pogba is a key player for Manchester United, they have an important project and he is 100 per cent included. Manchester United will not accept any bid this summer to sell Pogba. We are going to speak about a new contract soon, no stress," said Raiola to Sky Sports Italia.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news via Twitter too.
