One to Watch: Galway's Shane Moloney

As yesterday's dramatic All Ireland semi final entered it's last moments, the 58,495 in attendance at Croke Park wondered who the hero would be. Joe Canning and Seamus Callanan would have entered many peoples minds, but one name that would have been down the line of potential heroes was Shane Moloney.

The Tynagh-Abbey/Duniry forward made his Championship debut for Galway yesterday and quickly made a name for himself as Galway reached their first All Ireland final since 2012.

After the game, Moloney spoke to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan about his debut and scoring that winning point: "I saw Conor O'Brien kinda slip, so I knew I has an extra second or two and thankfully it went over. There's other days it would have gone wide".

"We'll train now like dogs for the next three weeks" according to Moloney ahead of the All Ireland final with Kilkenny on the horizon. He added that the memories of 2012 wont be in the Galway players minds as "it's a different team".
