O'Donoghue available for Kerry this weekend

James O'Donoghue will be fit for Kerry's Super 8s clash with Mayo in Killarney.

The 2014 Footballer of the Year missed the Munster final win over Cork due to a hamstring injury he sustained in the semi-final win over Clare.

Kerry manager Peter Keane said: "James O'Donoghue is back training and going well".

Keane also said he has no further injury concerns for Sunday's much-anticipated meeting with Mayo.

The Kingdom will be hoping it's third time lucky after losing twice to Mayo already this season. James Horan's men won both league meetings, including the final at Croke Park in April.

With Donegal also in Group 1 of the Super 8s, a defeat on Sunday would leave the losing team facing an uphill battle to qualify for the All Ireland semi-finals.

Kerry have an impressive record in Killarney and haven't lost at home in the Championship since 1995.

Fitzgerald Stadium could be close to a sell out this Sunday as Kerry and Mayo supporters scramble for tickets.

The capacity is just under 30,000 and as always there will be a big crowd traveling from Mayo.

Kerry GAA pointed out yesterday that they had no control over when tickets would be made available.
