Last year's All-Ireland semi-finalists Monaghan have been knocked out of the Championship this evening after a 2-17 to 1-12 defeat to Ulster rivals Armagh in round two of the qualifiers.
It's just 10 months ago that Malachy O'Rourke's side lost by only a point to Tyrone as they aimed to reach their first All-Ireland final in over 80 years.
An impressive performance from Kieran McGeeney's Armagh side saw twelve of their starting outfield players score from open play.
The Orchard County only kicked two wides in the contest, both in the second half.
O'Rourke stepped down after the defeat in Clones after 7 years in charge, Monaghan GAA confirmed on Twitter following the shock result.
Monaghan Manager Malachy O Rourke steps down after 7 years thanks for great memories Malachy!!

A second half fight-back from Longford wasn't enough against Tyrone with the Red Hand prevailing 2-15 to 1-14 winners in Pearse Park. Westmeath advanced to round 3 beatting Limerick 2-13 to 1-10. Clare travelled to Carrick-on-Shannon and enjoyed an impressive 3-17 to 17 point win over Leitrim while Mayo extended their summer with a 1-16 to 1-11 victory over Down in Newry.
