The Limerick county board has released a statement expressing it is disappointment that Donal O'Grady has stepped down as joint senior hurling manager.
O'Grady walked away after comments that he and his management team had apologized for their performance against Offaly in the league were not retracted publicly.
But the board says that efforts were ongoing to finalize an agreed statement clarifying matters.
It has been confirmed that TJ Ryan will serve as sole manager until the conclusion of this year's championship and it was also agreed that the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer in consultation with the team management would identify and appoint a hurling coach as a priority.
