Is Bernard Brogan nervous at the prospect of his first championship match outside Croke Park?

In 11 days time, for the first time since 2006, Dublin have to play a Leinster championship game outside Croke Park.

But what are the thoughts of Dubs forward Bernard Brogan on the prospect of facing Laois down in Kilkenny's Nowlan Park.

He spoke to Off The Ball's Colm Parkinson and seems fairly unperturbed by the new challenge to come.

"It's exciting. I've probably played [more than] 40 games and all of them in Croke Park, so it's something new for me. I was on the bench in 2006 when we played in a sunny day in Longford and just about got out of jail. So I'm delighted to get out of Croke Park and go down and test the atmosphere down in Nowlan Park," he said.

"We would've played a lot of evening games over the league, Saturday night games, so it's not totally abnormal to us. We're well used to it. It's not going to be too much of a difference but come championship, it's always a bigger occasion, a bit more nerves, a bit of energy around the place so it's a new challenge. But it's something people have said to us for a long time about playing at Croke Park and stuff, so it's great to get out and get a game and try and put a performance in away from Croke Park."

He also expects a big contingent of Dublin fans to travel down to support them, while the 32-year-old also talked about his own and Dubs' build up to their defence of the Sam Maguire trophy.
