Tipperary defeated Kilkenny in an awesome display of hurling on Sunday afternoon at Croke Park to win their first All-Ireland since 2010 and stopping Kilkenny from winning the illustrious three-in-a-row.
The game started as a shootout but Kilkenny could not keep pace with their opponents as the Premier County ran out 2-29 to 2-20 winners. Seamus Callanan was in fine fettle, chipping in with 13 points as were Bubbles O'Dwyer and John McGrath.
