Tipperary edged Limerick at Semple Stadium this evening, with goals from Andrew Coffey and Ronan Teehan proving vital.
Limerick's Ronan Lynch notched a huge nine scores from frees, while Darragh O'Donovan got the goal for the Treaty County.
Tipp came from a point down at the break to pull away in the second half and complete a second big victory for the county in a week, after the senior panel's huge victory over Waterford in the Munster SHC final.
Tipperary: Andrew Coffey 1-2, Ronan Teehan 1-1, Josh Keane 0-4, Jason Ryan, Conor Lanigan (0-2) each, Mark Russell 0-1.
Limerick: Ronan Lynch 0-9, Darragh O’Donovan 1-0, Barry Nash, Seamus Flanagan, Pat Ryan, Tom Morrissey 0-1 each.
