Mary I defended their Fitzgibbon Cup honours in emphatic fashion today, following an 11-point victory over IT Carlow.
It was a first ever Fitzgibbon Cup final outing for the Leinster college, but the experience of Mary I delivered a second consecutive title.
Blown away by that display and the response and messages. Incredibly proud of our group, management and players. They are a special bunch.🔷🔶

The win was all but secured for Jamie Wall's side at the interval, with the scoreline reading 0-16 0-08 in their favour. IT Carlow, coached by Kilkenny legend DJ Carey, fought hard to keep pace with the champions in the opening period.
But goals from Darragh O’Donovan, Aaron Gillane and Pa Ryan ultimately steered Mary I to glory.
