Mayo recorded a second league win this evening, with a victory over their provincial rivals. A second-half penalty from Cillian O'Connor helped the hosts to an eight point win, as Roscommon continue to search for their first points of the campaign.
Lee Keegan, who won an All-Ireland club title with Westport last weekend, came on to score two points, after Colm Boyle was issued a black card.

Meanwhile, Down secured a badly needed victory against Meath in Division 2. The victory brings an extensive losing streak to an end as they look to fight against relegation, after being dumped out of Division 1 last year.
This is their first victory in the Allianz Football League since April 2015, which moves them into sixth place on the table.
