The former president of GAA Handball Michael Boyce has died after suffering a tragic fall in Spain.
The 79-year-old was on holiday in Torremolinos on the Costa Del Sol when the accident occurred last Saturday.
Boyce suffered fatal head injuries in the fall.
He was the first Clareman to become GAA Handball president, serving in the role between 1975 and 1978, with the organisation paying tribute.
"It is with deep sadness and regret that GAA Handball inform you of the passing of Michael Boyce of Tuamgraney and Clare," they said.
