Former Kildare intercounty footballer Dermot Earley is set to be confirmed as the new chief executive of the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) on Tuesday.
The two time All Star for Kildare is to be confirmed as Dessie Farrell's successor at the head of players' representative association, according to the Irish Examiner.
Earley has been a member of the GPA since it was established in 1999, and has served as president since 2013.
The GPA have confirmed that they will confirm the identity of their new chief executive on Tuesday, January 17th.

The announcement will be made at the offices of the GPA in Santry after 12pm with GPA Chairman Seamus Hickey.
Earley starred for Kildare when they won Leinster football championship titles in 1998 and 2000.
He was also part of the Lilywhites side which lost the 1998 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final to Galway at Croke Park.
During his time at intercounty level he won an All Star in 1998 and did so again 11 years later after the 2009 championship.
He retired from Kildare duty in 2013, having started out on the inter-county scene 16 years previously.
At club level, the Newbridge native won four senior Kildare Senior Football Championships with Sarsfields.
