Kevin Feeney hit 1-9 as Mayo beat Armagh in the Nicky Rackard Cup final at Croke Park on a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-15.
Having claimed the Division 2B league title earlier in the year, Armagh were looking to make it two for two at headquarters on a sunny Saturday afternoon but with Mayo's Feeney unstoppable on the day, their efforts came up too short.
Having been pipped at the post last year due to a late roscommon goal, Armagh were again left in the lurch as Mayo had four points to spare as time ticked down on their attempt to claim their third Nicky Rackard Cup.
It is the first time in its 12 year history that Mayo have lifted the cup.
