Jim Gavin's Dublin have made history at Croke Park, becoming the first intercounty side to win five All-Irelands in a row.
The Dubs defeated Kerry by a score of 1-18 to 0-15.
Dublin had stormed to an early lead over Kerry, scoring four points from their first four attacks but Kerry dragged themselves back into the game in the first half.
After 21 minutes of play, it was a one-point game, with Dublin leading 0-08 to 0-07.
Paul Geaney was causing the Dublin defence trouble throughout and brought Kerry back on level terms just before half-time.
Immediately after the break, a point and an Eoin Murchan goal put Dublin ahead by four points.
Another Geaney point had Kerry back within two points on 40 minutes, however, as long as Kerry kept in close pursuit they never quite looked like overtaking the Dubs.
Their best chance to get a goal came midway through the second half when Stephen O'Brien broke through Dublin's defence to face off one-on-one against Stephen Cluxton.
But, it was Cluxton on his 106th Championship game who came out on top closing down O'Brien's angle as he ran out of space. That kept the boys in blue's three-point lead intact, with just over fifteen to go.
From then, the Dubs' experience and superior game-management came to the fore. Jim Gavin's men kept the ball, handpassing short and taking their chances when they got forward.
On 62 minutes, James McCarthy extended their lead to five points as the drive-for-five looked to be reaching its final conclusion.
Kerry drifted out of the game as the Dublin defence stood firm against the threat of Geaney and Clifford.
Dean Rock missed a last-minute free-kick to win the five-in-a-row two weekends ago. This weekend his last-minute free-kick was scored but inconsequential as the Sam Maguire already looked set for the capital for another year.
