Dublin have bounced back from the disappointment of their opening round Allianz Hurling League loss to record an impressive win against Cork seven days later.
Ger Cunningham's side had been faced with question marks after a poor performance in the 1-24 to 1-8 defeat to All Ireland champions Tipperary last Saturday.
The Dublin manager had not hidden his disappointment when speaking to Newstalk after that game, saying: "Very disappointing. We went out tonight with high hopes of trying to give a good performance tonight and I'm disappointed with how the performance panned out."
But this Saturday at Cork's Pairc Ui Rinn, the Dublin hurlers responded in style with a 2-19 to 1-14 victory to give their chances of survival of timely boost after two rounds of action.

Dublin got their first goal of the contest after 15 minutes which propelled them into a one point lead, with Ryan O'Dwyer getting the final telling touch on the sliothar's route to goal.
With the Dubs in the ascendancy, they could have been further ahead by the midway point of the first half but Cork keeper Anthony Nash denied Donal Burke's penalty effort to leave seven points between the sides.
Cork got a goal of their own five minutes before the break as Shane Kingston's effort to cut the gap to four points.
But an Eoin Conroy goal five minutes after half time helped Dublin rebuild their sizeable advantage.
Chris Crummey was sent off for Dublin in the second half after a second yellow card was shown to him.
But the Dubs held on for a first victory of the year in Division 1A. They go on to face Waterford at Croke Park in Round 3 in early March, while a Cork which defeated Clare on the opening weekend will go up against Kilkenny a day later.
Meanwhile, in Division 1B, Laois beat rivals Offaly 1-26 to 1-20 in their fixture in Portlaoise to register their first win of the league.
