Dublin beat Cork to win fourth consecutive All-Ireland title

Dublin have won their fourth consecutive TG4 All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football final.

Mick Bohan's side beat Cork on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-05 at Croke Park on Sunday afternoon.

Cork had a dream start to the game with Áine O'Sullivan finding the back of the net in the first minute of play.

They then led by three points at the break and it seemed that the four-in-a-row might not be for the Girls in Blue.

Cork looked better and more up for the game all over the pitch.

Dubs manager Mick Bohan must have given his side some speech at half-time as a different set of players emerged from the dressing room.

The real turning point of the game then came five minutes after the break when Carla Rowe found the back of the net from the penalty spot.

She had been taken down by the Cork keeper Martina O'Brien when clear in on goal.

The goal sent the Dubs a point up and they never looked back.

Throughout the second half, they took their chances better than Cork.

Cork didn't score until 15 minutes into the second-half with a point from play from Ciara O'Sullivan.

The Dubs led by two points going into the second-half water break before substitute Orlagh Nolan sent an important point through the posts to put three in it.

Cork then lost their captain Doireann O'Sullivan to a sin bin and that proved a massive blow.

Dublin's superior physicality was also clear to be seen. as the game drew to a close.

They looked fresher and fitter than their opponents.

1-3 in the second-half from Carla Rowe was crucial as the Dubs went on to win by five points.

A well-taken point from a free from her in the last 30 seconds of the game summed up this Dublin side - more skillful, calmer, and more capable of closing a game out than their opponents.
