Six of the Super 8s teams are now confirmed as Cork and Tyrone saw off Laois and Cavan respectively in round 3 of the All-Ireland Football Qualifiers this evening.
There was a sense of anticipation in Clones before throw-in that a fiesty all-Ulster clash could be on the cards as the neighbours met. Instead, it was a rather damp squib.
Cavan's summer has come to an end without much of a fight. In the first half, they managed to score just three points as they entered the break down 0-3 to 0-12.
It never got any better for the Breifne as they managed just four more points to the Red Hands' 1-8. Ben McDonnell got the goal for Mickey Harte's side.
The final score in Clones was 1-20 to 0-7 as Tyrone march on, having gained momentum with every game in the qualifiers.
Cork meanwhile have stormed into the quarter-final series.
The Rebels had a deserved sense of confidence heading into their clash against Laois at Semple Stadium after their impressive Munster final showing against Kerry.
This was clearly on show too as they blitzed Laois with scoring sprees either side of the break.
Brian Hurley found the back of the net twice while his Castlehaven clubmate Mark Collins also added to the tally with Paul Kerrigan getting the fourth.
4-20 to 1-15 it finished up in Thurles.

Afterward, Cork boss Ronan McCarthy said they were "delighted... after a very disappointing end to the league it's great to get there and give the players an opportunity to showcase their talents on the biggest stage, that's where we want to be."
He said his players were playing with a "new confidence".
"We've had huge highs and huge lows and we've come out the other side of it now and we're back to where we want to be, challenging the best teams."
Both Tyrone and Cork now head into the Super 8 group with Dublin and Roscommon. Mickey Harte's men head to Hyde Park next weekend to take on Roscommon while Cork have a trip to Croke Park to face the Dubs.
