Kieran McCarthy, the sports editor of the Southern Star, reported that the game had been postponed as some players from Newcestown are waiting on the results of COVID tests.
The game was due to go ahead on Sunday at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

It has been tentatively rescheduled for Tuesday evening at 7:30pm, although it is unclear at the time of writing whether it will definitely go ahead.
If a positive test is recorded then there will be a longer period of wait required before the match can be replayed. Players would have to isolate as per the current guidelines from the HSE. This has already been the case with another of the Cork SFC quarter-finals.
Earlier this week, the quarter-final meeting between Ballincollig and Nemo Rangers was postponed due to a positive test at the Ballincollig club.
On Wednesday morning, Ballincollig suspended all club activity as a result of the positive test.

The disruption caused will have an effect on both club football in Cork as well as to their inter-county side. The calendar will have to be extended slightly to accommodate the postponed fixtures.
Sunday's other quarter-final tie has Valley Rovers and Dunhallow clash to see who will end up in the semi-finals of the competition.
Castlehaven booked their place in the semi-finals after narrowly finishing ahead of Finbarr's and Nemo Rangers on scoring difference.
The impact this will have on the inter-county set up is yet to be determined, however, there is certainly cause for concern for manager Ronan McCarthy.
The Douglas man will now have a reduced window to work with the players ahead of the Munster Senior Football semi-final clash with Kerry due to take place on November 8th.
