Cork football manager Ronan McCarthy must plan without first-choice goalkeeper Mark White for the 2020 season.
The Clonakilty clubman has opted to travel to the United States next year instead.
White has been first-choice for the past two years, and started in all-bar one of Cork's All Ireland Senior Football Championship games.
Nemo Rangers stopper Micheál Martin started in goal in the Rebels' final outing of 2019, the 4-9 to 3-9 defeat to Roscommon, and Martin will be viewed as favourite to succeed White between the posts.
Cork's 2020 season begins on December 29, with a McGrath Cup Group B meeting with Kerry at Austin Stack Park in Tralee.
The Rebels will ply their trade in Division 3 of the Allianz Football League next year, opening up with a round 1 clash at home to Offaly.
2020 will mark the 30-year anniversary of Cork's historic football and hurling All Ireland double.
Billy Morgan led the footballers to Sam Maguire glory that year, and he told Echo Live he's hopeful about Cork's fortunes in 2020, "I would hope that they will win the third division, try and put out their best team every time and then come out of it with a winning mentality.
"They will have momentum going into the championship then and they will have qualified for the All-Ireland series then as well.
"Hopefully they will do well in the third division but it won’t be as easy as people think because there are some very difficult trips that they will have to go on but hopefully, they do and I’m sure they will."
