Dick Clerkin and Tipp's Michael Quinlivan give their intriguing Mayo vs Dublin verdicts

Tipperary star Michael Quinlivan believes Mayo are extremely adaptable this year but may well struggle to find a weakness to exploit in the Dublin ranks.

He and Monaghan's Dick Clerkin joined Off The Ball ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland football final and Quinlivan shared his experience of playing Mayo in the semi-finals and how that could impact the performance against Dublin.

"You have to give credit to Mayo. They did look at us and identified a couple of patterns that had developed in our game. You have to give them credit for their adaptability in that regard. I just think they'll struggle to find a pattern in an unbelievable Dublin team this Sunday," said Quinlivan, who admitted that, like many he would love to see Mayo finally win Sam, but can't envisage Dublin being beaten.

"[Mayo] are a tough team to try and nail down. Obviously they have some great runners coming from the back. They have a lot of pace in their half-back line and some great scoring power from there too which is a huge asset."

Clerkin, who is tipping underdogs Mayo by a narrow one-point win, feels Dublin are not necessarily as strong as they have been at other points in this era.

"No team is unbeatable. A couple of years ago we were saying the same and Donegal turned them over then. This Dublin team is no better or worse than that team two years ago. Actually, some might say slightly they're not as well-prepared with the few absentees like Rory O'Carroll and Jack McCaffrey, that they haven't felt their loss to date. There still is a question mark over Dublin."
