The Allianz Football League is already well underway following Monaghan's victory over Mayo in Castlebar and a host of other games on Saturday evening.
Today saw the remainder of the county sides kick off their league campaign, with All-Ireland champions Dublin making the trip as far as Kingspan Breffni Park to face Cavan.
Allianz Football League Division 1
- Kerry 2-17 - 1-17 Donegal
- Tyrone 0-18 - 1-09 Roscommon
- Cavan 0-11 - 0-18 Dublin
Dublin got the defence of their league title off to a good start this afternoon with a seven-point victory over Cavan. The All-Ireland champions welcomed back Jack McCaffery to the starting line-up and got himself on the scoresheet.
Dean Rock continued to rack up the scores after a close start shared between the sides. Niall Scully also impressed, while for Cavan Sean Johnston and Gerard Smith kept the home side in touch.
Paul Geaney found the net twice as Kerry ran out three point winners over Donegal. Rory Gallagher's finished strongly after finding themselves 12-points behind heading just 10 minutes after the restart. A goal and nine points in the final 25 minutes will offer some hope to Gallagher as he continues to mould his new-look Donegal team.
Tyrone began life in Division 1 with a win following their promotion last year. Niall Daly's early goal threatened to derail Roscommon, but Ronan O'Neill and Peter Harte saw them run out comfortable winners in the end.

Allianz Football League Division 2
- Kildare 3-17 - 0-16 Meath
- Galway 0-14 - 1-11 Cork
- Derry 0-11 - 1-08 Clare
Meanwhile, in Division 2, Meath got off to a disappointing start under new manager Andy McEntee. They suffered a heavy defeat to Kildare in Navan who are now at the top of the division.
A Ben McCormack goal inside the opening seconds gave Kildare an early initiative, and maintained their advantage for the rest of the tie.
Galway and Cork both came away with a point from their clash in Pearse Stadium. Colm O'Neil, who hit five points, had an opportunity to clinch the decisive score at the death but his free drifted wide from 40 metres out.
Derry and Clare were also forced to share out the spoils today. It's a big result for the Banner, considering they were without SOME OF their Ballyea servants.
