Allianz Football League Round-Up: Donegal edge out Roscommon

Donegal have edged out Roscommon by a point in their Allianz Football League Division 1 clash at Dr Hyde Park.

Roscommon scored two goals through Ciarain Murtagh and Conor Devaney as they mustered 2-9. 

But for the second week from two, Roscommon were defeated by an Ulster county.

Following on from Tyrone's victory last weekend, Donegal scored 0-16 to win by a point.

The win was Donegal's first of the campaign while Roscommon sit bottom of the standings in Division 1.

In the other top division game on Sunday, Monaghan and Cavan could not be separated as they drew 0-7 apiece in Castleblayney.

In Division 2, Meath got their first win of the campaign with a resounding 3-15 to 0-9 triumph against Derry.

Galway and Clare also won their games against Fermanagh and Down respectively, while Kildare and Cork scored a goal each as the Lilywhites won 1-14 to 1-8.

In Division 3, a tight match at Semple Stadium narrowly went the way of Sligo as the away team beat Tipperary 2-14 to 1-16. 

Elsewhere, Louth beat Longford by a point, Offaly defeated Antrim 0-23 to 1-7 and a tight fixture at the Athletic Grounds went the way of Laois by 2-11 to 0-16.

Division 4 saw Wexford come from behind to overcome Leitrim 0-16 to 0-14 at Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada and London were 2-15 to 0-16 winners over Carlow.

Westmeath also enjoyed a clear win by 1-18 to 0-12 over Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds.
