All Ireland winner Kerrigan calls time on inter-county career

All Ireland winner Paul Kerrigan has retired from inter-county football after 13 seasons with the Cork senior footballers.

The Nemo Rangers clubman was part of the Rebels All Ireland winning team in 2010.

The 33-year-old made his debut for Cork in the 2008 Munster final win over Kerry and was an unused substitute during last Sunday’s Munster final defeat to Tipperary.

Kerrigan also won three Munster titles and three Allianz League Division One titles.

He was also part of Cork's All-Ireland U21 winning team in 2007 and represented Ireland in the International Rules series.

Kerrigan will continue to play club football with Nemo but his retirement means that Ciaran Sheehan is the only remaining player from the 2010 All Ireland winning team.
