Jim Gavin's All-Ireland champions Dublin won the Blue Stars challenge match by a point in a high-scoring 3-13 to 4-09 win over the club side selection.
The back-to-back All Ireland champions are hoping to go three in a row in 2017 and that journey began today.
Conor McHugh starred scoring 2-4 for the winning side although he was outdone by Tomas Quinn who bagged 3-5 for the club selection.
