Today we have Donegal GAA and Derry City S&C coach Paul Fisher with some ideas for you!
He has focused on movements which will increase your heart-rate and improve functional movement patterns.
Here are his notes:
"You can complete ANY of the exercises between your strength exercises to elicit an increased heart rate or more of a metabolic effect (meaning your efficiently both burning fat and gaining muscle) to your at-home sessions. Always perform with force into the ground and intent! Or alternatively, perform each one as a circuit for 10 sec each before taking a 40-60sec break."
Yesterday it was Joe McGinley, who is an S&C coach at Leinster Rugby and works with the St Vincent's senior football team, who put this Off The Couch video together for us.
It focuses on how to keep top-athletes in shape - and also offers lessons for anyone trying to stay active!
Off The Couch is our new fitness series to help us all to stay fit - or get fit - during this period of social isolation.
Some of Ireland’s leading trainers, physios, fitness experts, sportspeople and other friends of the show will be sharing their top tips in straight-to-the-point and easy to use videos - which will go live across or social channels every day at lunchtime.
