FIFA's Ethics Committee is to investigate the claims of sexual harassment made against former Chelsea boss, Avram Grant.

The 66-year old was accused of harassing multiple women in a television broadcast on Sunday night.

The Channel 12 programme, Exposure in his native Israel, heard from several women who claimed Grant used his position to try and coerce them into sexual relations.

One woman claimed that in 2020, Grant invited her to his Tel Aviv apartment offering to help her find work.

“He told me, ‘Make yourself comfortable, take off your clothes.’ I thought he was joking," she told the programme.

"I was sitting far away from him, on the edge of the couch. He asked me to come closer and tried to hug me, really grabbed me and did not let go."

The woman, who was 22 at the time, added, "I felt uncomfortable, he put his hand on my thigh, and I remember immediately moving his hand.

"After a few seconds of talking, he grabbed me by the neck, as if choking me, turned my head to him, and tried to kiss me by force."

She told Exposure she told Grant 'no', but he refused to let her leave. He went on - she claims - for force her hand to his crotch and, having felt pressurised to stay the night at his apartment,  "awoke the next morning to find he was holding his exposed penis over her head".

Grant is not in full time management anymore, but did manage a team of FIFA Legends at the recent Arab Cup in Qatar.

When pressed about the matter on Monday, FIFA responded, "Given the nature of the allegations being made, FIFA's Ethics Committee will look into the matter.

"When it comes to misconduct and abuse in football, we wish to reiterate that FIFA takes any allegations reported to it very seriously.

"Please understand that no further comment can be made at this stage."
