England sit top of Pool C at the Rugby World Cup, six points clear; albeit with a game in hand.

In what was dubbed their toughest test of the tournament so far, Eddie Jones' side was in emphatic form as they secured a bonus point, beating Argentina 39 -10 on Saturday morning.

Although England had beaten Argentina in their last nine meetings, this clash had promised to be a good one for the neutral, particularly for its physicality.

With 17 minutes on the clock, with England only leading by two points 5-3, this game took a major turn.

Argentina went down to 14 men as Tomas Lavanini became the fifth player to be shown a red card in this tournament for his high tackle on Owen Farrell.

Although there wasn't much malice in the tackle it was felt that Nigel Owens made the right call as Lavanini made his way to the line.

The English tries then started to roll in as Jonny May, Elliot Daly, Ben Youngs, George Ford and Luke Cowan-Dickie all went over the line.

Owen Farrell's kicking also improved as the game went on, after missing four attempts at goal to begin with he sent four through the posts in the second half.

With their quarter-final place secured, England's only real concern will be their injuries with both Joe Marler and Billy Vunipola picking up knocks in the game and they'll be closely assessed in the coming days.
