WATCH: Eddie Jones envious of the Irish rugby system

England coach Eddie Jones has spoken of his admiration of an Irish rugby system that has delivered not only a Grand Slam, but four provinces to the quarter-finals of the Heineken Champions Cup.

Jones spoke alongside his number 10 Owen Farrell, and gave his thoughts on Ireland's situation as it is.

"I think that they have a well-coordinated system. They have got four teams all feeding into the national side.

"All of their programmes are monitored - they have a very good system. They are seeing the fruits of that with their national team, seeing the fruits of that with their professional team.

Jones also talked about Ireland's prospects of doing back-to-back Grand Slams.

"You have got to be a very good team. But the first game is the most important game, and we have got Ireland in the first game - that's all I am worried about.

With this being the final tournament that Joe Schmidt will be Ireland coach, Eddie Jones also had salutary words for his Kiwi counterpart.

"He's a very good coach, and he's done a great job with Ireland.

"Andy Farrell is going to take over and he will continue on the good work with Joe.

Elsewhere on Off The Ball, Brian O'Driscoll has given his thoughts on which English players would make it into the Ireland squad.

"I was asked what England player, if I could pick one, would I want to bring across," he said on Wednesday's OTB AM with Eoin Sheahan and Ger Gilroy.

"I went through the whole team and the journalist said: 'So, that's none.'

"Then I back tracked because I didn't want him to print 'no one' in the article, so I told him a fit Manu Tuliangi would. But then, I don't think you're dropping either of our guys [for him].

"Maybe Billy [Vunipola] makes it."
