"Do you wanna know how I got these scars?" - The Dark Knight with Jess Kelly

Have you watched the same movie over and over again? Have you seen it, say, 200 times? Well, Jess Kelly has. Newstalk's Technology Correspondent joined Eoin Sheahan and Sue Murphy to talk through her favourite moments in her favourite rewatch, The Dark Knight, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale as Batman.

The Dark Knight was a real high for comic book movies - it was dark, it had interesting characters and you never thought twice about the fact that how Bruce Wayne decided to deal with everything that was happening in his life was to stick on a bat costume and fight the bad guys on Gotham's dark, dark streets.

Batman Begins set the benchmark, The Dark Knight exceeded it. Christian Bale was a great Batman but is there a greater comic book villain than the Joker? Michael Caine's character tells Wayne at one point, some men just want to watch the world burn and how do you bargain with that?

On top of that, you had a really ambitious director who wanted to get behind the mask and character of Bruce Wayne and find out what made him tick. It was the first time comic book movies were really taken seriously and earned Heath Ledger a well deserved Oscar. The tragedy that surrounded the film also drew an audience in, curious to find out what had led to the young actor's demise.

The Dark Knight had everything - drama, script, great costumes and an amazing score. It takes its place rightfully in the hall of best rewatchables. We're not entirely sure if it deserves the 200 rewatches that Jess has awarded it but we're willing to explore that!
