Derry City have continued to build for the 2022 season with the twin acquisitions of Cameron Dummigan and Brandon Kavanagh.
25-year old Dummigan has become the fourth player to swap Dundalk for Foyleside since the end of the season. He's signed a two-year deal.
Michael Duffy, Patrick McEleney and Will Patching had already been snapped up by the Candystripes.
While Shamrock Rovers confirmed on Tuesday that Brandon Kavanagh has left for the Ryan McBride Brandywell club.
Kavanagh spent the 2021 season on loan at Bray Wanderers, playing 31 times and scoring 7 goals in the Seagulls' doomed tilt at promotion. The 21-year old only made two top-flight appearances for Rovers the year prior.
"Brandon is at the very early stage of his career," said Derry boss Ruaidhri Higgins, "he's only turned 21 but he brings real quality and he's a really technical footballer who finds space easily and his game intelligence is right up there.
"Brandon is a smashing talent, someone who burst onto the scene a few years ago but I think he's coming at the right time. He's excited to come here too and be part of it."
Regarding Dummigan's acquisition, Derry manager Higgins said, "I’m delighted to welcome a player of Cameron’s quality and versatility to the club.
"It is very rare that a player is equally effective in a number of positions, but that’s certainly what he brings us.”
“He has a wealth of experience behind him and is still only 25 years old so I would like to think he’s joining the club with his best years ahead of him.”
