Coleman "frustrated" but Ancelotti says Everton Euro dream still alive

A goal from Richarlison three-minutes after the restart was enough to give Everton a win over Wolves and keep alive their European ambitions.

Carlo Ancelotti's side gave the returning Goodison faithful cause for celebration with a 1-0 win.

However, not everyone was happy.

Captain Seamus Coleman conceded he's been "frustrated" with their home form. The Wolves win was just their second Premier League win at Goodison since the turn of the year.

"The fans make a difference to our performances," the Donegal native told Sky Sports, "They have every right to be frustrated especially with our home form.

"Today it was not just for us. It was a release for the fans to be here. We had to put in a performance, running around and showing we care.

"It was a battling performance. We had a few chances to win the game by more. It gives us a bit of a game going into the last game.

"It is frustrating our home form but we will give it a go against the champions."

Everton go to Manchester City on Sunday in their final game of the season, still with a hope of a Europa League spot next term.

"There was a completely different attitude, spirit [to the Sheffield United match] and the concentration we had from the beginning," Ancelotti said of the Wolves win.

"After that we had a strong defence and after we scored we defended the result until the end.

"The supporters helped us a lot. It makes sense that in three [league] games at home with fans we had three wins. That means something.

"We are really pleased to give them these three points at the end of the season and also because we didn't have a good run at home."

On their European hopes Ancelotti said, "I think the dream is still alive but we don't have a lot of possibilities.

"We are going to the small possibility and do our best in the last game. It is the most difficult game but for sure we will put all of our energy into the last game."
