Sheffield United first-team manager Chris Wilder, his coaching staff and the club's chief executive officer have agreed to a pay deferral.
Wilder and his senior coaching staff, along with CEO Stephen Bettis, have agreed to partial pay and bonus deferrals to help ease the club's cash flow issues.
United will use the money saved to help pay their other staff affected by the current Premier League shutdown.
The Yorkshire club furloughed staff just over a week ago but stated their intention to keep those affected, who are unable to perform their regular duties, on full pay.
They are currently not using the UK government's Job Retention Scheme.
Today's official club statement reads: "Manager Chris Wilder and chief executive officer Stephen Bettis have agreed partial pay and relevant bonus deferrals to assist the Football Club's cash flow issues during the current Covid-19 crisis.
"The savings created by this will assist the Club with retaining staff and continuing to pay 100 per cent of their salaries during this difficult period.
"They were joined by senior coaching staff who agreed to the deferrals for the next six months also."
Wilder is a hugely popular figure at the club. Since getting them promoted back to the Premier League last season he has guided them to seventh place and just five points behind Chelsea in fourth, with a game in hand over the Blues.
The 52-year-old was also a season ticket holder with the Blades and he has been a ball boy and a first-team player at Bramall Lane.
"It is a difficult time for everyone and that includes Football Clubs and this particular measure is all about our Football Club," said Wilder in the official statement.
"I've had similar experiences of cash flow problems at other Clubs and I'm delighted that my staff have supported me in assisting our Club in a small way."
Chief executive officer Stephen Bettis expressed his gratitude towards the manager.
"There is a long uncertain road ahead, but we remain committed to doing everything we can to ensure the stability of this great Football Club," said Bettis.
"I'd like to thank Chris and the senior coaching staff for being united in joining me in these short-term remuneration deferrals."
